"Bringing our flagship product to America, the home of the Californian almond, one of the world's most popular specialties, means forcefully affirming the distinctive value of an Italian excellence founded on quality, tradition, and sustainability. We are presenting ourselves to a different target of American consumers and beyond, but with the strength of a product with deep roots, unique organoleptic characteristics, and a supply chain strongly tied to the territory," commented the consortium director. Francesco Midolo"Interest in almonds," he added, "has been widespread, with contact exchanges and price list requests from medium-sized processing companies, pastry shop chains, and Italian shops in America. There's been great enthusiasm for confetti, prized products made with Avola almonds."
"Being here in New York, on such a prestigious international stage, is a source of great pride not only for the Consortium but for the entire city of Avola and the entire region involved in the cultivation of our three cultivars. The Avola Almond represents an excellence that defines our identity, the fruit of the work of generations of producers and a symbol of our region. Being here in New York, at one of the most important events in the world, is the result of a new impetus and promotion effort that the consortium is undertaking in synergy with its institutional partners, the municipality, and the Sicilian Region. Its presence at Summer Fancy Food is confirmation of how quality, tradition, and innovation can connect our products with the world, opening up new growth prospects for the entire supply chain and for our community," stated the mayor of Avola.
